Elderly woman falls and injures her head | Fire blotter

From the Valley Regional Fire Authority.

Between Sept. 1 and 7, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to the following calls for service, among many others:

Sept. 1

Overdose: 8:44 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters administered Narcan and rescue breathing to a man who had stopped breathing because of an apparent overdose. A private ambulance then transported the man to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

Sept. 2

Accident: 5:45 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a two-vehicle accident where one vehicle had struck another at a red light evaluated the passenger of the struck vehicle for neck pain before a private ambulance transported the party to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

Sept. 3

Accident: 7:50 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to reports of two vehicles that had rolled over on eastbound Highway 18. One person was complaining of neck and back pain, so firefighters transported that person to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.

Sept. 5

Aid call: 1 a.m. (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters treated and bandaged an elderly woman who had fallen and suffered a head injury. A private ambulance transported her to St. Francis Hospital for further care.

Wires down: 9:35 a.m. (Pacific). Firefighters evacuated the immediate area of a grass fire with a live power line down, and contacted Puget Sound Energy to de-energize the line. Once the line was secured, firefighters extinguished the grass fire.

Sept. 6

Accident: 6:56 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a two-car accident where they treated one person for minor injuries before transporting him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.

Sept. 7

Aid call: 5:28 p.m. (Pacific). Firefighters evaluated a woman who was exhibiting stroke-like symptoms, and King County Medic One paramedics transported her to Harborview Medical Center by for further care.
