Election update: New faces will join Auburn City Council

Results certified Nov. 28.

Looks to be all but certain by now that come January, Auburn City Council incumbents James Jeyaraj and Robyn Mulenga will relinquish their seats to, respectively, Tracy Taylor-Turner and Clinton Taylor.

Meanwhile, the race between Cheryl Rakes — who was appointed to the council last January — and Lisa Stirgus for Auburn City Council Pos. 1 has tightened and remained too close to call as of Wedneday (Nov. 15), while Hanan Amer has narrowly overtaken Brian Lott in the contest for Pos. 1.
