Emerald Aire, Inc., is organizing a food drive for the Auburn Food Bank during December. Nonperishable food item donations are being accepted at its office, 5108 D St. NW, Auburn, during business hours, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Last year, Emerald Aire collected 400 pounds of food. The goal this year is 600 pounds.

In addition, Puget Sound Energy is distributing $22,500 in donations among 43 local food banks across the state, including Auburn, to help stock their shelves. In addition to PSE’s financial contributions, the utility’s employees again are conducting food drives for local food banks.
