Food Network’s ‘Restaurant Impossible’ to visit Auburn

Celebrity chef Robert Irvine and the Food Network are coming to Auburn. The network crew for "Restaurant Impossible" is scheduled to film at The Spunky Monkey Bar & Gril on Monday and Tuesday.

Celebrity chef Robert Irvine and the Food Network are coming to Auburn.

The network crew for “Restaurant Impossible” is scheduled to film at The Spunky Monkey Bar & Gril on Monday and Tuesday.

In two days and with only $10,000, Irvine and his team of designers will revamp the failing restaurant, 124 2nd St. SE, Auburn.

At the end of the second day, the team will unveil the restaurant in a grand reopening to the public and film the service as part of the show.

Spunky Monkey is taking reservations for the 6 p.m. Tuesday grand reopening. Interested parties can call the restaurant at 253-804-9567 to make a reservation. Reservations will only be taken through Saturday, then the lines will be shut down.
