Free Masons of King Solomon Lodge offers WA-CHIP for families

The Free Masons of King Solomon Lodge on Main Street offers a Washington CHild Identification Programs, or WA-CHIP, in conjunction with City of Auburn events scheduled for Aug. 3 at Sunset Park and Aug. 17 at Les Grove Park.

The Free Masons of King Solomon Lodge on Main Street offers a Washington CHild Identification Programs, or WA-CHIP, in conjunction with City of Auburn events scheduled for Aug. 3 at Sunset Park and Aug. 17 at Les Grove Park.

The Free Masons will offer the program to families from 6:30 to 8 p.m at each Auburn park. Sunset Park is at 69th St. SE, and Les Grove Park is at 11th & Auburn Way S.

The program has been rated one of the most informational should a loved one become lost or missing.

1. A video showing how a child acts around strangers, highlighting what makes each child different.

2. A DNA sample for tracking and identification purposes. The sample contains the child’s saliva, which contains a personal scent.

3. A dental bite impression also containing a saliva sample.

4. Normal finger print card

5. Room for any additional information a parent or guardian might feel necessary. Parents are urged to fill out this part of the card in their own home environment.

The information has been offered at no cost to families.

The program also is available to families who have older members who tend to wander off who suffer from the different ailments related to old age.
