Felony firearm possession
The Auburn Police Department arrested and charged a 46-year-old man March 2 with a felony count of unlawful firearm possession in the second-degree.
According to the Auburn Police Department, officers responded to the 1900 block of Dogwood Drive Southeast after receiving a report at approximately 11 a.m.
In addition to the man’s illegally possessed firearm, officers also marked multiple credit and EBT cards, personal items and pills as evidence, according to the department. The department provided no further information regarding the role of a female victim and two witnesses listed in the news release.
Assault reported
Auburn police received report of an assault March 2 regarding an alleged assault on Feb. 27. Police forwarded the case to the Auburn city prosecutors.
Robbed at gunpoint
An employee of a local business called to report to Auburn police March 2 at approximately 4:59 p.m. that a man between age of 20 and 25 robbed him at gunpoint in the 700 Block of Auburn Way North.
An email from Kolby Crossley, public information officer for the Auburn Police Department, described the suspect as a Hispanic or Black male with a medium height and medium build. According to the news release, the suspect stole $3,500 from the business. Investigation continues.
Domestic violence incident
Auburn police responded to a domestic violence incident March 2 after receiving a report at approximately 5:33 p.m. Police charged a suspect with assault in the fourth degree after investigation and forwarded the case to Auburn city prosecutors.
Gang arrest
Auburn police arrested a 28-year-old male gang member on March 3 for a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm in the 2200 block of Auburn Way North.
Police received report of a weapon offense at approximately 5:00 p.m., according to the Auburn Police Department. Police seized evidence including ammunition, cocaine, methamphetamine and pills at the scene.
Robbery
Auburn police received report of a robbery on March 4 at a local business in the 1300 block of Auburn Way North.
The robbery involved multiple suspects who stole $2,000 in cash and $300 of merchandise. Investigation into the incident continues.
Assault
Auburn police received report of an assault on March 5 at approximately 6:35 p.m.
A fight broke out between two women outside of an apartment complex in the 1100 Block of A Street Northeast, said Kolby Crossley, public information officer for the Auburn Police Department. Police forwarded to the case to Auburn city prosecutors.
