Creative kids shone at the Washington State Spring Fair this year.
The annual Creative Kids Exhibit brought out the best in kid at the Washington State Fair & Events Center on April 14-17.
The entries were on display throughout the fair.
A total of 1,032 entries were received for the two age categories: 6-10 years and 11-15 years. The contest was broken into the following categories: art, baking & confections, creative writing, paper crafts & scrapbooking, photography, textiles, and an egg drop contest.
The Seattle Fudge Parent-Child Candy Contest was held again this year, as well as the Washington Association of Wheat Growers award presented to the most outstanding wheat exhibits in the yeast bread category.
Local specialists in the specific categories were judges, and they awarded ribbons to the winners. The champions include:
