According to King County Emergency Management, King County will open Disaster Assistance Centers in Auburn, Carnation and Issaquah.
These centers will help community members impacted by the recent flooding apply for Washington State’s Individual Assistance program. Other state, county, and local agencies will also be onsite to answer recovery questions.
The Auburn location will be at the Auburn Library, 1102 Auburn Way S., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 2, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 3.
The required documentation to apply for assistance includes identification, proof of King County residency, proof of income and proof of damage. Interpretation services will be available at the centers.
If residents cannot visit the Disaster Assistance Centers in person, they can apply online at sahelp.org.
