The Auburn Mountainview boys basketball team fell 47-40 to Enumclaw Wednesday in a South Puget Sound League/Seamount League 3A Sub-District contest at Enumclaw.
Enumclaw’s (18-3) Bryce Peterson scorched the Lions for a game-high 20 points, with Drake Rademacher adding 12 for the Hornets.
Post Tristan Miguel’s 10 points led Auburn Mountainview, with Wyatt Walstad adding eight points. Ryan Lacey and Ki’Jan Weisinger had six points apiece.
The Lions play at Peninsula (15-7) at 7 p.m. Friday in a seeding game to determine the No. 3 and 4 seeds into the West Central District III/Southwest District 4 tournament.
A win earns the Lions a loser-out contest at 2:45 p.m. Monday against Fort Vancouver (9-13) at Rogers High School in Puyallup.
A loss nets them a loser-out game against Timberline (10-9) at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Rogers.
The district tourney continues through Feb. 22.
