Guest artist Jessie Brugger presents “For the Love of Faces, A Demo on Drawing Faces and Really Looking at People,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Auburn City Hall Chambers, 25 W. Main St.

The Auburn Valley Creative Arts program is open to the public.

Brugger, an award-winning artist and daughter of Dick Brugger, Auburn’s past poet laureate, lives and works in New York and has been in shows in New York City, Australia, Greece, Spain, Canada and Washington.

The demo will delve into the often avoided subject of portraiture. Learn how to use proportions, bony landmarks and structure to draw a portrait. The demo will be a 45-minute charcoal drawing of a portrait, while learning how to examine the human face from an artist’s point of view.
