KCD recognizes Auburn’s Peloza for leadership

King Conservation District recently recognized Councilmember Bill Peloza with the 2010 Special Service Rock Award, which spotlights individuals, programs and municipalities that have demonstrated community service and leadership in conservation efforts within the district over the past year.

King Conservation District recently recognized Councilmember Bill Peloza with the 2010 Special Service Rock Award, which spotlights individuals, programs and municipalities that have demonstrated community service and leadership in conservation efforts within the district over the past year.

Peloza was honored for his work with the district to improve conservation resources and storm water drainage in agriculture properties. He was instrumental in bringing key grant requests to KCD, including support for the popular Auburn International Farmers Market, said chairman Bill Knutsen.

Peloza is an active participant in the Lower Green drainage committee sponsored by the King County Agriculture Commission and KCD. Peloza has praised for demonstrating leadership to identify and resolve issues by bringing a wide range of stakeholders to the table to work in harmony.
