KidsDay returns to Auburn’s Les Gove Park

Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation is gearing up for its annual KidsDay event June 24 at Les Gove Park, 1005 12th St. SE.

Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation is gearing up for its annual KidsDay event June 24 at Les Gove Park, 1005 12th St. SE.

The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., features inflatable rides, children’s activities, live stage entertainment, mini golf, kids’ arts and craft booths, food concessions, more than 70 information/activity vendors, a food court and other activities for families.

Back again are the popular electric go-karts, free face painting and a truck/equipment display.

The event has a lineup of stage entertainment, kicked off with the Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Road Show, award-winning singer-songwriter Brian Vogan, the popular children’s band, Recess Monkey and more. The Brian Vogan Band is presented by the King County Library System at 12:45 p.m.

Auburn’s KidsDay began in 1985 and has increased in popularity ever since. New entertainment and activities are added every year.

The event will be held at Les Gove Park, which features the popular new Discovery Playground, a spraypark, bocce courts and many more attractions.

Parking is available in and around the park, with overflow parking at Grace Community Church and street parking surrounding the park.

KidsDay 2011 is coordinated by the City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation, with help from Fred Meyer Stores, Valley Medical Center, Waste Management and Seattle Children’s. Media support courtesy of Radio Disney AM 1250.
