King County Fire & Life Safety Association offers Kids Safety Day

The King County Fire & Life Safety Association hosts the annual Kids Safety Day at The Museum of Flight on Friday.

The King County Fire & Life Safety Association hosts the annual Kids Safety Day at The Museum of Flight on Friday.

The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot behind the museum, 9494 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle.

Families and children can visit firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians and other safety professionals. They also can tour various emergency apparatus, including fire engines, ladder trucks, ambulances, wildland fire engines, airport crash trucks, swiftwater rescue boats and much more.

The Boeing Clown Club will be on hand, with possible appearances from Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog.

There will be activities for kids, as well as bicycle helmet fittings.

Among the participants are: King County Police Union, Rural Metro Ambulance, Kent Fire Department, Boeing Fire Department, King County Fire District 2, King County Fire District 20 Tukwila Fire Department, Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, Boeing Clown Club, Renton Fire Department, King County 911, Seattle Fire Department, Burien Citizens Patrol, King County Fire District 44, Northwest Burn Foundation and others.
