Landmark Development groundbreaking in downtown Auburn set for Thursday

City officials invite the public to the long-awaited groundbreaking of downtown Auburn’s newest development, the Trek Apartments, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at 12 S. Division St..

Mayor Pete Lewis, City Council members, dignitaries and residents will be there to break ground on the mixed-used residential/retail building.

The new addition will bring residential living and retail shopping to the heart of Auburn. Landmark Development of Auburn’s building will be a six-story mixture of retail on the base facing West Main Street and five floors of apartments above that can be set up for condominiums.

The building should be finished next summer.
