Lions Special Needs Youth Fishing Derby returns Saturday

The Lions of Zone C-3 invite special needs youth, their siblings and friends, and responsible adult supervisors to its 12th annual Special Needs Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday.

The Lions of Zone C-3 invite special needs youth, their siblings and friends, and responsible adult supervisors to its 12th annual Special Needs Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday.

The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is free and provides a great family opportunity for children to fish the pond, 601 Oravetz Road.

Pre-registration not required. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.

A limited number poles and reels will be available for use, or bring your own. Bait is provided, along with T-shirts and stringers. Grab a photo of your child with his or her catch. The Lions will clean the fish for you. Expert fishing help is also available.
