Colleen Maloney, a graphic designer who focuses on printmaking and painting, presents a monoprints demonstration at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers at Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main St.
Maloney’s design work has been seen on billboards and banners, local galleries and shows. Her commissioned murals hang in the Boise (Idaho) Public Library and St. Luke’s Hospital.
Maloney volunteers for the Tacoma Art Museum, resides on the advisory board for the Auburn High Schools’ Design program and is part of the Auburn Visual Arts Committee.
Artists are invited to bring pressed flowers and leaves, feathers or anything that is thin, flat and won’t poke holes in the gelatin if they wish to make monoprint cards.
