Man collapses on football field, police seek identity

An unknown man in his late 40’s collapsed of an apparent heart attack Tuesday evening on Mountainview High School’s football field during track team practice.

According to the Valley Regional Fire Authority, a staff trainer and a 16-year-old student administered CPR and resuscitated the man with the school’s automatic defibrillator.

Firefighters and King County Medic One continued the efforts and an ambulance transported the man to Auburn Regional Medical Center. The man had no identification on him and remained a “John Doe” as of 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The VRFA described the man as white, in his late 40’s and about 6 ft. tall. He was wearing black sweat pants, running shoes and a white workout shirt. Anybody with information that could help identify the man may contact the Auburn Police Department at (253) 931-3080.
