Man fatally shot in Auburn has been identified

The man who was shot and killed in Auburn on July 7 has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner as 36-year-old Brian Srey.

Srey was killed by multiple gunshot wounds and his manner of death has been ruled a homicide by the King County Medical examiner.

Just before 10 a.m.Thursday, July 7, Auburn police officers were dispatched to a call of shots fired near the Auburn Golf Course. When they arrived, the officers found a man estimated to be in his 30s who had suffered a gunshot wound on the northbound lane of Green River Road.

The Auburn Police Department said life-saving measures were taken, but the man was ultimately pronounced dead on the scene. As of this posting, the Auburn police do not have a suspect description.
