Between Dec. 18 and Dec. 26, the Auburn Police Department responded to the following calls for service, among many others.
Dec. 18
Theft from vehicle: 9 p.m., 6400 block of Elaine Avenue Southeast. Somebody broke into a woman’s vehicle, stole an $850 check, then deposited it into his own bank account.
Dec. 20
Postal theft: 11:45 a.m., 2900 block of Scenic Drive Southeast. A late-morning package theft went down.
Found property: 2:06 p.m., 3030 R St. SE. Somebody found a real wallet at Game Farm Park with a bogus state ID card inside.
Assault: 9:50 a.m.,700 block of Outlet Collection Drive Southwest. Somebody assaulted someone else with sexual motivation.
Dec. 21
Commercial burglary: 6 a.m., 4040 Kersey Way SE. A burglar or burglars hit ICON Materials’ gravel pit area over the weekend.
Home burglary: Overnight, 1706 17th Street Southeast. Someone unlawfully entered a garage and stole a stereo amplifier from the back seat of a car parked inside.
Felonious harassment: 4:30 p.m., 2700 block of Southeast 312th Street. Some guy pointed a fake gun at multiple people, arousing genuine fears.
Dec. 22
Order to surrender weapon: 10:59 a.m., 340 E. Main St. Somebody surrended their bows and arrows to the Auburn Police Department.
Dec. 23
Order to surrender weapon: 10:18 a.m., 340 E. Main St. Somebody surrendered weapons to the Auburn Police Department.
Theft: 12 p.m., 5110 Frontage Road. A person or persons unknown stole three trailers.
Assault: 3:30 p.m., 2500 block of 19th Place Southeast. Police arrested an estranged wife for assaulting her husband during a mutual physical confrontation.
Dec. 24
Shoplifting: 12:10 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Store loss prevention officers detained a guy for stealing shoes at Nordstrom Rack in the Outlet Collection Mall.
Dec. 26
Theft: 11:58 a.m., 700 block of 17th St. SE. Tools were stolen out of a parked vehicle.
Drugs found: 11:30 a.m., 2315 27th Place SE. Somebody found illegal narcotics at Auburn Rotary Park.
Dec. 27
Theft: 11 a.m., 12400 block of Southeast 286th Place. Unknown suspect or suspects stole construction equipment.
