Who wants to go to downtown Auburn? With the latest news of downtown Auburn … with all the predators at the core?

Now, why would the city blight the Sun Break Café, one of the highest-quality cafés Auburn has ever had and possibly will ever get? It has a prominent following from all over King and Pierce counties and farther.

The café’s pleasant proprietor, Mr. Alverson, has proven to be an affable family person of high business standards and a most successful, capable businessman.

Many nearby restaurants have proven to have had poor management and are primarily empty.

I have heard remarks from young people, college students who ride the bus to Federal Way from Auburn: “Who wants to live in a ghost town?” or “Auburn sucks.”

Perhaps Auburn should go in a different direction, like Kent and Enumclaw, and retro some of its remaining buildings or revitalize what remains.
