Mountain View Cemetery recently completed construction of a new 70-foot water feature and redesign of the landscaping area in the front of the office and parking lot area.

The water feature and landscape has a Northwest look with meandering paths through old growth stumps, dwarf conifers, ferns, large boulders and benches.

“The idea was to design a beautiful, restful area of refection where visitors could enjoy the views and listen to the natural sounds of running water,” said Craig Hudson, cemetery manager.

Mountain View Cemetery is a self-supporting municipal cemetery operated by the City of Auburn and has been serving the community for more than 100 years. It is located on 55 gently sloping acres with sweeping and stunning views of the Cascades Mountains and Mount Rainier. The Cemetery offers a myriad of options for burial needs and the profit from purchases goes directly into the care, maintenance, and improvement of the cemetery.
