Elsewhere:

• Greg Fleser is the new general manager of the SuperMall. Fleser, 32, previously was the GM for New Towne Mall at New Philadelphia, Ohio. Both malls are owned by Glimcher Properties at Columbus, Ohio, which approached Fleser about the move. Fleser has been with Glimcher for 12 years.

Fleser succeeds Bruce Goldsberry, who moved on to work at a large mall in Ohio.

“The environment is beautiful,” Fleser said of his new spot. “The staff and the community have made me feel welcome.”

Fleser and his wife have a 1-year-old son.

• Employees at Copper Falls Restaurant at the Auburn Golf Course recently donated gifts to Pacific flood victims.

Approximately $500 of gifts – ranging from cookware to tools, toys to other needs – were donated by owner George Filiss’ staff. Filiss matched the employees’ offerings with cash donations.

“It helps when I have a great staff willing to help out their neighbors,” Filiss said.
