Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 7:

Dec. 30

Order to surrender weapon: 10:50 a.m., 340 E. Main St. A woman turned in her compound bow to the Auburn Police Department as part of a court-ordered weapon surrender.

Felony harassment: 11:30 a.m., 2800 block of D Place Southeast. One guy threatened another guy with a knife.

Dec. 31

Shoplifting: 5:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way. Police arrested a guy and booted him from The Outlet Collection after loss-prevention officers at Nordstrom Rack caught him in the act of thievery.

Residential burglary: 11 a.m., 200 block of G Street Southwest. A burglar or burglars hit a house that was in the process of being flipped.

Jan. 1

Obstructing justice: 12:59 a.m., 1700 Auburn Way S. Police busted a pedestrian for obstructing a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on a traffic stop.

Jan. 2

Sex offender registration violation: 2:30 p.m., 340 East Main St. A sex offender failed to register.

Property theft: 5 p.m. 1000 block of 17th Street Northeast. A thief stole packages from a residence.

Jan. 4

Theft of vehicle parts: 6:30 a.m., 200 block of D Street Southeast. Somebody cut away a catalytic converter from a vehicle.

Lost property: 10:09 a.m., 700 block of F Place Northeast. The owner of a firearm reported it missing.

Jan. 5

Strong-arm robbery: 12:03 a.m., 102 Cross St. SE. A man used the threat of pepper spray to steal a toy from Grocery Outlet.

Assault with injury: 7:33 p.m., 1600 block of 8th Street Northeast. Police arrested a guy who had allegedly tried to strangle his pregnant girlfriend and then pushed her out of his moving vehicle.

Jan. 6

Purse theft: 12:35 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way. A woman reported the theft of her wallet with cash inside. A passerby later turned the wallet in, but the $200 was gone.

Agency assist: 4 p.m., 2400 block of Auburn Way S. Police arrested an adult gang member on a robbery warrant.

Property theft: 4 p.m., 6300 block of South 301st Street. A thief, or thieves, stole packages from a porch.

Jan. 7

Vapor caper: 2:37 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way. Staff at the Ulta Beauty store reported that a team of two suspects had stolen more than $1,400 in fragrances from an in-store display.
