Person arrested for reckless burning at Fulmer Park | Auburn police blotter

Car thefts and assaults were among the most common crimes committed.

The following reports are taken from the Auburn Police Department’s blotter between July 27 and Aug. 3. There were reports of 21 car thefts, 20 assaults and 14 burglaries.

July 27

Catalytic converter: Two catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles on the 1900 block of Auburn Way South at around 8 a.m.

Flag theft: An American flag was stolen from the 1300 block of 8th Street Northeast at approximately 10 a.m., and the flag was later recovered.

Death: Police investigated a dead body at the Lobdell Apartments at approximately 5:45 p.m.

July 28

Hit and run: Drivers of a stolen vehicle committed a hit and run on 129th Street Southeast at 3:33 a.m.

Burglary: Police arrested a man for burglary on the 100 block of East Main Street around 1 p.m.

Assault and trespass: Police arrested a man for simple assault and trespass of real property on the 800 block of Auburn Way North between 5 and 5:30 p.m.

July 29

Harassment: Someone with a gun threatened a woman on the 1600 block of 8th Street Northeast at 6:40 p.m.

Burning: A person was arrested for reckless burning at Fulmer Park at 7:50 p.m.

Assault: An adult woman was arrested for assaulting her boyfriend on M Street Southeast at 11:30 p.m.

July 30

DV assault: A man was arrested for domestic violence assault on the 900 block of 26th Place Northeast at 6 a.m.

Car theft: A man reported that his car was stolen from the McDonald’s parking lot on Lake Tapps Parkway between 6:30 and 8 a.m.

Neighborly love: A man reported his neighbor for malicious mischief and harassment on D Street Northwest at 2:10 p.m.

July 31

Death: A death was reported in the 600 block of I Street Northeast at 6:26 a.m.

Harassment DV: A woman reported that her brother threatened her with a pistol in the 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street at 12:42 p.m.

Burglary: A burglary was reported in the 1100 block of Outlet Collection Way Northwest at 9:13 a.m.

Aug. 1

Possession of a stolen vehicle: A man was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle on O Street Southeast at 9 a.m.

Vehicle theft: A man reported that his car was stolen from the Fitness Quest parking lot at the Outlet Collections Seattle while he was working out at 7:30 p.m.

Burglary: A residential burglary was reported on the 2100 block of Noble Court at 11 a.m.

Aug. 2

Stolen surveillance: A surveillance camera was reportedly stolen from an Auburn business on G Street Southwest at 11:30 a.m.

Stolen license plates: Several license plates were stolen on Marshall Avenue Southeast, and some of the license plates were later recovered at 3:20 p.m.

Wrong person: An Auburn police officer arrested a juvenile male for robbery, then learned the juvenile was not involved in the crime and released him from custody on 3800 A Street Southeast at 7:16 p.m.

Aug. 3

DV assault: A man assaulted his child and the child’s mother on 15th Street Southeast at 11:30 a.m.

Fraud: An Auburn resident was defrauded of over $2,400 by a telephone scam at approximately 11:16 a.m.

Unlawful imprisonment: A potential unlawful imprisonment on the 600 block of 15th Street Southwest was reported to police at 9 p.m.
