Pinnacle Foods’ Algona employees volunteer, give back

For the third year, Pinnacle Foods employees joined together during the same week to take part in a company-wide volunteerism program called Pinnacle ACTs (Action Changes Things).

Pinnacle Foods’ Algona teammates Cindy Sankey-Hagen and Karen Munson volunteered at the Auburn Food Bank, separating, sorting and bagging donated food items to provide for those in need.

Brian Reid and Katherine Search volunteered at The Share and Care House’s “Household Items Store,” sorting and organizing donated items so their clients would be able to go in and choose what they need.

The Algona team had 16 employees volunteer during Pinnacle ACTs week and donated more than 60 hours to organizations that support those in need.

Nearly 1,000 employees volunteered at locations throughout North America, including the Auburn area, to support the causes of food, shelter and the environment last week.
