Police arrest suspect in connection with double shooting

Auburn police took into custody a 15-year-old male suspect in connection with a double shooting last Monday.

The suspected was apprehended at approximately 3 a.m. Friday, transported to the King County Juvenile Youth Center and booked on two counts of first-degree assault.

Police had been looking for a known suspect in a double shooting in the area of Southeast 30th Street and M Street Southeast on Monday night.

Police said the man sped off in a car after walking up to two teenagers in a street and shooting them.

A 17-year-old male was shot multiple times in the chest and abdomen with a handgun Monday night. The man was treated at the scene and transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

A second man sustained a gunshot wound to his arm and was transported to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

Police responded to a reports of a shooting in the area at 9:33 p.m. in the 1200 block of 30th Street Southeast. The initial investigation revealed there were two gunshot victims.

Valley Regional Fire Authority, and Medic One units were dispatched to the area to treat and transport the victims.
