NOV. 20

Postal theft: Overnight, 6500 block of Lindsey Avenue Southeast. Someone or several someones pried open community mailboxes for condominiums on Lindsey Avenue. Police didn’t say if anything was actually stolen or if this was a mere lark by no-goodniks who just like to pry open mailboxes.

Bogus bill: 9:53 a.m., 300 block of 15th Street Northeast. Management at the Iron Horse Casino reported that an employee had accepted a bogus $50 bill at an unknown date and time.

Postal theft: 10:44 a.m., 2000 block of Pike Street Northeast. A woman received a check back from her bank that had been altered, forged and cashed for an undisclosed amount after being stolen from her mailbox.

Theft: 11:31 a.m., 4200 block of A Street Southeast. Police arrested a mobile home park manager for allegedly pocketing residents’ rent checks over several months. Police did not say how much was stolen.

Theft from car: Overnight, 800 block of 45th Street Northeast. Somebody broke a car window belonging to a person of undefined gender and took that person’s GPS unit. Police did not disclose a value.

Theft: 9:55 a.m., 12401 S.E. 320th Street. Somebody stole a wallet and tape recorder from another person’s gym bag on the Green River Community College campus. Police did not disclose a value.

Vandalism: 2:26 p.m., 1000 block of 24th Street Northeast. An act of vandalism occurred, but police had nothing to say about it.

Burglary: 2 p.m., 1200 block of 30th Street Northeast. A man told police that someone had entered his home through a kitchen window. Although police called it burglary, they neglected to say if anything had actually been stolen.

Shoplifting: 2:21 p.m., 5015 Auburn Way N. Somebody stole a fur coat from the Red Barn. Police did not offer a value.

Burglary: 6:55 p.m., 1200 block of 37th Street Northwest. An unknown person entered a secured business and once inside tried to break into the office. An employee inside called police, and the burglar slunk into the night before police could get there.

Shoe thieving: 6:57 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Police arrested a woman for shoplifting shoes at the Burlington Coat Factory. Police did not disclose a value for the shoes.

Assault: 11:24 p.m., 400 block of 27th Street Southeast. Police arrested a man for domestic violence after he slapped his wife across her face.

Burglary: 3:23 a.m., 140 15th St. N.E. A person or persons unknown broke out a window at Arby’s restaurant and once inside knocked over a container full of condiments. The alarm system activated and the bad guy or guys opened the drive-through window and skedaddled.

NOV. 19

Theft from vehicle: 8 a.m., 440 block of 50th Street Southeast. Unknown persons broke into a vehicle belonging to a person of undefined gender and stole tools, keys and a circuit tester. Police did not disclose a value.

Shoplifting shirts: 2 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Police arrested a man for shoplifting two shirts from Casual Line at the Supermall. Police did not disclose a value.

Assault: 5:05 p.m., 3700 block of D Street Southeast. A person of undefined gender and his or her equally undefined friend got into a verbal dustup that turned into a mutual smackdown. Police didn’t say if anybody was hurt or arrested.

NOV. 18

Theft: 10:40 p.m., 11200 block of Southeast 325th Court. A woman told police that her foster son had stolen two cell phones from her other foster sons and sold one of the phones to a friend in exchange for a suspicious, green, smokeable leafy substance.
