Nov. 17 and Nov. 19:

Nov. 17

Theft from car: 5:40 a.m , 12500 block of Southeast 312th Street. Somebody stole several unidentified items worth an unknown amount from three vehicles parked at The Meadows on Lea Hill.

Burglary: 7:45 a.m., 1500 block of 20th Street Northwest. Somebody broke into the storage yard of Asphalt Equipment and Service Company and stole a white 1995 Ford, a large number of spools of copper wire, power cables and extension cords. The burglar also broke into a white 2003 Ford and stole an employee’s personal tools. No value was given.

Assault: 4:40 p.m., 1300 block of 8th Street Northeast. Police arrested a man after he slapped his girlfriend and took away her cell phone as she attempted to call 911.

Robbery: 7:30 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A male person demanded cash from the customer service desk at Safeway, and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Nov. 18

Fraud: 9 a.m., 700 block of 5th Street Southeast. A woman reported that someone had used her name and Social Security number to acquire a payday loan online 4 or 5 years ago.

Burglary: 11:15 a.m., 1400 block of Dogwood Street Southeast. Somebody entered a home by breaking a bedroom window. Once inside the residence, the burglar pocketed numerous items, including a laptop computer, an iPod and miscellaneous jewelry. No value was given.

Fraud: 4:20 p.m., 200 block of North Division Street. An out-of-state woman reported that she was the victim of ID theft. She said that somebody had used her Social Security number for treatment at a local hospital and she has been getting calls from a local collection agency hounding her for payment.

Vandalism: 10:10 p.m., 1000 block of 12th Street Southeast. Somebody vandalized a wall by spraypainting something on it.

Home invasion robbery: 10 p.m., 500 block of 37th Street Southeast. Three unknown suspects broke into a residence, held all three household occupants at gun point and demanded money. The suspects assaulted all three during the robbery, and one of them needed medical treatment. The suspects got away and are still at large with $5 in cash and the homeowners .22 caliber handgun.

Nov. 19

Assault: 2:50 a.m., 300 block of Oravetz Place Southeast. Police arrested a man for trespassing, assault and malicious mischief. The bad guy approached an employee at Danner Corporation trying to rustle up some cigarette butts. The subject was told to get off the property. He refused and then punched the employee in the eye.
