Police blotter | April 30

Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between April 24 and April 27:

April 24

Luring: 7:40 a.m., 1200 block of 37th Street Southeast. A girl told police that a man had tried to lure her into his vehicle while she was walking to school. She did not report the incident to police or her school, however, until three days later.

Theft from vehicle: 9 p.m., 29800 block of Green River Road Southeast. An unknown somebody pried a driver’s door lock to gain entry to a Ford pickup, then swiped a black Ping golf bag containing Ping and Calloway golf clubs. Police did not disclose the value of the clubs.

April 25

Assault: 10:43 a.m., 1400 block of D Street Northeast. Police had nothing to say about this assault, other than to confirm that, yes indeed, there had been an assault.

Burglary: 12:31 p.m., 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street. Two boys tried to break into a Lea Hill apartment, but police soon caught up with them and arrested them for residential burglary.

April 26

Assault: 7:10 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A man reported that another man hit him after he refused to yield a stick of tobacco.

Theft from vehicle: 7:34 p.m., 1425 Supermall Way S.W. Somebody stole two tuxedos from a pickup truck outside of the Walmart at the Auburn SuperMall. Police did not disclose a value for the missing tuxedoes.

Hit-and-run: 4:30 a.m., 200 block of 12th Street Southeast. A woman reported that some guy she didn’t know struck her in the shin with his car.

Theft from motor vehicle: 8:55 a.m., 801 Auburn Way N. A woman forgot to lock her truck when she went into the Fred Meyer for a couple minutes, and when she returned she discovered that somebody had stolen the handicap placard from her mirror.

April 27

Burglary: 10 a.m., 600 block of 12th Street Southeast. Sometime between April 23 and April 27, somebody broke a window to get into an unoccupied home. The suspect might have been camping in the back yard prior and left a blanket and some clothing behind.

Theft from car: 3:48 p.m., 700 West Valley Highway S. Somebody sawed two catalytic converters off of two Toyota Tacoma trucks while the vehicles were parked at the Peasley Canyon park and ride. Police did not disclose a value.

Weapons offense: 5:40 p.m., 300 block of Auburn Way North. Police arrested a man for pointing a pistol at a motorist as he drove northbound on Auburn Way South.

Assault on mother: 8:06 p.m., 30000 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. Police arrested a boy at the Cedar Ridge Apartments for assaulting his mother.

Assault: 5:47 a.m., 3600 block of Juniper Lane Southeast. Police arrested a man for punching his wife in the mouth.
