Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service between Jan. 20 and Jan. 25:

Jan. 20

Robbery: 6:34 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Somebody robbed a man after withdrawing $300 from an ATM at Safeway and got away.

Jan. 22

Disgusting ex-hubby: 4:40 a.m., Southeast 318th Place. A woman reported that her ex-husband, the father of her three children, sent text messages from his cell phone despite a no-contact order. What she got was messages of naked men dancing and singing and other such grossities with lewd sexual content. The father lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Assault: 5:40 p.m., 400 block of 15th Street Northeast. A man punched his girlfriend on the left side of her face, causing swelling and bleeding. The girlfriend refused to provide any information about her woman-beating beau and refused any medical aid.

Jan. 23

Assault: 1:01 a.m., 29300 block of 59th Avenue South. A man got into argument with his nephew after the youth took a piece of metal away from his two uncles. The uncle pushed then punched the boy three times in the face, earning himself an arrest.

Jan. 24

Burglary: Overnight, 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Somebody reached through the front gates of an unnamed business at the Supermall and stole three hooded sweat coats worth an unspecified amount.

Theft from car: 2 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. A man reported that persons unknown stole a GPS unit from his car while it was parked in the Nordstrom Rack parking lot. Police did not disclose a value.

Arson: Noon, 1900 block of A Street Southeast. The manager of an apartment complex reported that an unknown person had set a small fire in their mail box building. The fire petered out of its own accord before causing significant damage.

Vandalism: 1:47 p.m., 200 block of 12th Street Southeast. An unknown suspect wielded a marker to damage a trailer in the 200 block of 12th Street Southeast. The markings were later removed. There were no witnesses.

Shoplifting: 7:18 p.m., 1200 block of Auburn Way North. Somebody swiped shampoo from Supercuts on Auburn Way North then made a clean getaway.

Assault: 10:20 a.m., 600 block of L Place Southeast. A bad guy refused to leave a man’s residence before assaulting the man with a stick. The stick wielder fled the scene in a vehicle, and has not been located.

Meanwhile behind the pink pachyderm: 12:45 a.m., 4300 A St. S.E. Police arrested a man for violating a no-contact order after somebody spied him loitering with the protected person behind the Pink Elephant Car Wash.

Jan. 25

He swiped it at Fred Meyer: 3:14 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a man for shoplifting $340.48 worth of unspecified merchandise from Fred Meyer.

Burglars steal and steal from home: 6:36 p.m., 3200 block of Scenic Drive Southeast. Over the course of several days burglars unknown broke into an Auburn man’s house and stole several unidentified items of undisclosed value.

Burglary: 8:07 p.m., 2400 block of 17th Drive Southeast. Burglars unknown came in through an unlocked bathroom window and swiped numerous items from a home, including electronics, jewelry and a firearm worth an undisclosed amount.

Burglary: 3:24 a.m., 202 E. Main St. Somebody broke into the Dollar Latino Restaurant at 202 East Main Street, then entered the common crawl space with Dollar Wise next door, which it shares a common address, When the burglars broke drywall to get into Dollar Wise, they tripped an alarm then fled out the front door. The only damage to the restaurant was the missing the lens of a surveillance camera and the broken dry wall. Nothing was reported stolen. Surveillance footage from Dollar Wise was being processed as of this writing.
