Police blotter | July 17

Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between July 8 and July 12:

July 8

Obstructing justice: 7:30 a.m., 29800 block of Green River Road Southeast. Police arrested a man for making a false statement to a police officer. Once police identified the guy at the jail, they learned he had a Department of Corrections felony warrant and three misdemeanor warrants out of the Auburn Police Department.

Shirt stealer: 2 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a girl for shoplifting a shirt of undisclosed value from an undisclosed store at the SuperMall.

Beer stealer: 6:52 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Store security caught a man swiping a case of beer from Safeway, so police arrested him and introduced him to the spartan accommodations at the Auburn Jail.

Theft from building: 10 p.m., 11500 block of Southeast 308th Place. A woman reported that somebody, possibly by relative stole two rings from her bedroom.

July 9

Warrant arrest: 6:20 a.m.,

25 W Main St. Information led police to believe that a man with a felony warrant was hiding in the Game Farm Park area. Police found the transient camp and the man within it, so they arrested him and booked him into the Auburn Jail.

Vandalism: 11:25 p.m., 1416 Harvey Road NE. Some yahoo chucked a rock through the front door of the Walgreens store.

July 10

Disorderly conduct: 1:57 a.m., 440 16th St. NE. An officer saw a man hit another man in the parking lot of BB McGraws. The victim did not wish to press charges, but police arrested the fellow with the flying fists for fighting in public.

July 12

Traffic collision with injury: 6:59 p.m., 600 W. Valley Highway N. A woman was driving her boyfriend home after a party, and while she was so engaged said boyfriend grabbed the steering wheel, forcing the car off the roadway and straight into an embankment.

Alcohol offense: 10:15 p.m., 30600 block of 132nd Avenue South. Police arrested a 19-year-old man for being a minor in possession of a fermented beverage after police found the incriminating inebriant in his car during a traffic stop.
