Police blotter | Sept. 25

Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Sept. 15 and Sept. 22:

Sept. 15

Bike theft: 5 a.m., 500 block of 17th Street Southeast. A man reported that somebody swiped his mountain bicycle while he was passed out after downing too much booze alongside a roadway.

Sept. 16

Theft: 8:09 a.m., 2800 block of Skyway Lane Southeast. An unknown suspect broke a window and stole clothing from a vehicle. Nobody saw it happen.

Sept. 20

Vandalism: 900 block of 26th Place Northeast. Parents reported that their son broke a garage window and threw things around before finally fleeing the family home.

Bogus bill at the Bell: 9:49 p.m., 700 block of Auburn Way South. Police arrested a man for forgery after he knowingly passed a fraudulent $50 bill at the southend Taco Bell. The man also had star billing on four warrants.

Theft from car: 12:15 a.m., 700 block of Auburn Way South. Somebody stole a purse from an unlocked car parked at the McDonald’s at 702 Auburn Way S. The purse was recovered in the parking lot north of the restaurant, missing a license and debit card.

Sept. 21

Guitar thief: Somebody unknown stole somebody else’s guitar after a party. Police did not disclose a value for the missing axe.

Trespassing: 2:55 p.m., 1100 Auburn Way S. Police arrested somebody for trespassing in a city park after contacting said person for guzzling booze in said park. Police subsequently learned this same booze guzzler had been kicked out of the very same park earlier for fighting.

Vandalism: Overnight, 4200 block of Auburn Way South. A youth painted “X3T” in blue on three poles. Video surveillance failed to pick up any identifying characteristics.

Sept. 22

Cops helping cops: 1:13 a.m., 1500 block of Valentine Ave. S.E. Auburn K9 located and caught a female who had fled from Pacific Police.
