Police blotter: Theft, vandalism and more

Between Jan. 29 and Feb. 9, the Auburn Police Department responded to the following calls for service, among many others.

Jan. 29

Suspicious person or circumstance: A person and circumstance of undisclosed suspiciousness was reported.

Robbery: 3 p.m., 1119 E. Main St. Somebody robbed a grocery store.

Vandalism: 10 p.m., 2100 block of Auburn Way S. An act of undisclosed maliciousness went down at this time on this block.

Jan. 30

Firearm theft: 1:25 p.m., 109 S. Division St. Somebody reported a stolen gun.

Graffiti: 4:37 p.m., 3600 D St. SE. Graffiti was inflicted on a structure.

Feb. 1

Theft: 6:20 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A transient man bolted from Safeway with beer he had not bought.

Theft: 7:35 a.m., 20 block of Pike Street Southeast. A vehicle was left unattended while running. It was stolen.

Disorderly conduct: 8:30 a.m., 1600 block of Auburn Way North. Police busted a woman for conduct undisclosed but deemed disorderly.

Theft: 10:32 a.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Police arrested some dude for shoplifting from Goodwill.

Vandalism: 5 p.m., 2905 C St. SW. Vehicles were vandalized at a city storage lot.

Feb. 2

Theft: 5:56 a.m., 2700 block of Alpine Drive Southeast. Somebody stole an ATV and an attached trailer from a driveway.

Feb. 3

Trespassing: 11:33 a.m., 1111 17th St. SE. A guy who’d been told to stay away from Java Junction went there anyway and was arrested.

Feb. 4

Fraud: 1:44 p.m., 2109 Auburn Way N. A customer tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill that they had been given at a Kirkland bank.

Feb. 5

Theft: 6 p.m., 400 block of E. Main St. Police arrested a man for stealing his ex-girlfriend’s cell phone.

Feb. 8

DUI alcohol or drugs: 7:05 a.m., 4100 block of A Street Southeast. A man fled from the scene of a hit-and-run collision, but police caught up with him a short time later, allegedly exhibiting signs of impairment.

Feb. 9

Robbery: 3:10 p.m., 1425 Outlet Collection Way SW. Police arrested a man after he allegedly committed an armed robbery at Coastal Farm & Supply.

Disorderly conduct: 7:45 p.m., 900 block of 9th Street Southeast. Police arrested a guy for provoking an unnecessary 911 response.
