Public can now enroll in Auburn’s Civics Academy

City council and mayoral duties, budgeting and allocation are among the many activities carried out by different city departments.

Wanna learn what goes on behind the scenes?

The place to do that is at Auburn’s Civics Academy, which returns this fall after a 2-year-long, COVID-induced hiatus.

Residents may register to take part in the free sessions, which roll for 11 weeks from September to November on Thursdays and three Saturdays at different locales throughout the city.

For anyone who’s interested in being more involved in the city, this program is a great way to learn more. Participants must be willing to commit to the attendance of all sessions, although one can miss two sessions and still graduate.
