VIPERS TRYOUTS

5-TOOL RESIDENT CAMPS

These camps in BASEBALL and FASTPITCH, conducted by Auburn High School and Evergreen State Sports, will offer two more one-week sessions: July 27-31 (advanced fundamentals for ages 15-18) and Aug. 3-7 (fundamentals for ages 8-14). Camps will take place at the Brannan Sports Complex in Auburn, and campers will be housed and meals will be provided at Cascade Middle School in Auburn. BASKETBALL

AUBURN TROJAN CAMP

This camp for boys and girls who will be entering grades 3-9 will take place July 21-24 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each day at Auburn High School. The cost is $85 for early registration, and $95 for registration on the first day of camp. The cost includes a T-shirt and a basketball. UNDEFEATED SPORTS CAMP

This camp for boys and girls ages 8-12 will offer a choice of soccer, basketball OR cheerleading. It is scheduled for July 28-Aug. 1 at Kent Covenant Church, 12010 S.E. 240th St. in Kent. GOFAST SPEED CAMP

These four-day camps take place at Kentridge High School, and are open to boys and girls ages 10-18 in all sports. The focus will be on developing speed, agility, quickness, running technique, injury prevention, and linear and lateral movement. AUBURN PARKS TURF BURN TOURNAMENT

GOLF

SENIOR GOLF REC LEAGUE

This recreation league, with an emphasis on fun, is being offered by Auburn Parks and the Auburn Senior Activity Center on Mondays at 9 a.m. through Oct. 27. Play will take place at Auburn Golf Course. The league fee is $10. Greens fees at Auburn are $15 for nine holes and $22 for 18 holes, and are payable at the course. SAILING

RENTON SAILING CLUB CLASSES

A four-session INTRO TO BASIC SAILING class will be offered on Wednesdays, with classes now under way, and the last series beginning Sept. 3. It is open to ages 9 and older. Instruction will be offered in how to rig and sail a small dinghy, all within a confined area. The cost is $32 for Renton residents and $38 for non-residents. BRITISH SOCCER CAMP

This camp for players ages 4-16 is scheduled for July 21-25 at Lea Hill Elementary School, 30908 124th Ave. S.E. in Auburn. Sessions will include mini-soccer for ages 4-5 from 9-10:30 a.m. and 10:40 a.m.-12:10 p.m., with a cost of $77 for either session; half-day sessions for ages 6-16 from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., with a cost of $99 for either session, and a full-day session for ages 10-16 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at a cost of $150. AUBURN PARKS YOUTH SOCCER

TENNIS

KIDS TENNIS CAMPS

Covington Community Sports will offer these four-day camps for boys and girls ages 8-12 will be offered Monday through Thursday beginning July 28 and Aug. 11. Camp hours are 1-3:30 p.m. each day at Cedar Heights Middle School, 19640 S.E. 272nd St. Campers will learn and enhance skills by playing in games and participating in other activities. Proper stroke and movement will be emphasized. The cost is $95 per camper per session. The instructor is Stephen Johnson, a member of the U.S. Professional Tennis Registry.
