EVERGREEN STATE SPORTS

The organization is accepting NEW PLAYER REQUESTS for interviews for admission into its developmental programs. Teams currently seeking to fill rosters are 9-U, 11-U, 12-U, 13-U, 15/16-U, and 18-U. The 2008-09 TRAINING YEAR CYCLE is now under way. Team and individual sessions are available. The club is forming new 8- and 10-year-old teams to join its 12, 14, 16 and 18 age squads. The Liberty Bell Spirit Squad will offer classes for ages 4-11 of all skill levels. This developmental for wrestlers ages 6-12 focuses on fundamentals, sportsmanship, conditioning, teamwork and confidence in a fun but competitive atmosphere. Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. Matches are on Saturdays, with some travel in the surrounding area required. Matches last between four and eight hours, depending on whether it’s a dual meet or a tournament. The cost is $75-$85 per wrestler, based on residency, and the early registration deadline is Oct. 20.
