Registration for Auburn’s Dog Trot 3K/5K Fun Run is under way. Save yourself money and register early for the fun and popular run.

Dog Trot returns to Game Farm Park at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21.

Early registration is $18 and ends April 22. Late registration is $23 and runs April 23 to May 18. No registrations will be accepted on May 19 and 20.

On-site registrations will be $25. A T-shirt is included with all early registrations and will be available on a limited basis for late and on-site registrants.

The Dog Trot is a family-oriented fun run event that takes place prior to Petpalooza at the park, 3030 R. St. SE. Participants will follow a 3K or 5K route. The course is flat, easy and enjoyable for all ages. Water will be available on the course for dogs and human participants.

Dog Trot again will offer “chip” timing, allowing participants the most accurate finish time.

Following the run, the ninth annual Petpalooza festival will unfold. The festival features live and animal entertainment, the Unleashed Pet Contest, a free agility area, a petting zoo and pony rides, face painting, a food court, more than 150 vendors and other attractions. Petpalooza runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the park.
