Reichert to lead state hearing on efforts to prevent, address child sex trafficking

U.S. Congressman Dave Reichert (R-Auburn) leads a field hearing in Auburn on efforts to prevent and address child sex trafficking in Washington state.

The hearing, which begins ay 9 a.m. in the City Hall Chambers, 25 W. Main St., will highlight efforts by groups in Washington to end child sex trafficking, prevent youth in foster care from becoming victims of this crime, and empower youth in foster care so they can achieve success.

Expected to join Reichert at the hearing are: U.S. Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA); state Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles (D-Seattle) of the 36th Legislative District of Washington; King County Sheriff John Urquhart; King County Councilman Reagan Dunn; Treehouse COO Dawn Rains; Seattle Organization for Prostitution Survivors, cofounder and director of survivor services Noel Gomez; and senior network representative from the Mockingbird Society, Mandy Urwiler.
