The City of Auburn Traffic Division, Police Department and Streets Division are working to accommodate the extra activities, festivals and traffic.
The majority of the impacts will be seen on Auburn Way South, the Muckleshoot Casino area and the White River Amphitheatre. Officials want to inform area residents of the upcoming activities so you can plan accordingly for increased traffic and noise.
Construction
• Auburn Way South between Dogwood and Hemlock (daily)
Project is scheduled throughout month of October
• Auburn Way South from Hemlock to SE 408th St.
Project is scheduled from July 6-September (will include nighttime work)
Friday, July 3: Fireworks Show (10 p.m. approximately)
Location: Emerald Downs. Expect higher than normal traffic volumes and noise.
Saturday, July 4: Auburn’s Fourth of July Festival
Location: Les Gove Park. Expect higher than normal traffic volumes.
Sunday, July 5: Concert (4 p.m. gates open)
Location: White River Amphitheatre. Van Halen. Expect higher than normal traffic volumes.
Thursday, July 9: Concert (4:30 p.m. gates open)
Location: White River Amphitheatre, Steely Dan/Elvis Costello. Expect higher than normal traffic volumes.
City officials encourage residents to expect traffic delays during this time, allow extra time when traveling and to exercise patience.
