An Auburn family escaped a house fire on Lea Hill early Sunday morning.
A smoke detector alerted two adults and two children as Valley Regional Fire Authority firefighters first responded to the scene around 5:46 a.m. at a house on fire at SE 319 Place.
Crews quickly deployed hose lines to bring the fire under control.
A family in the adjacent structure that was connected by a common wall also escaped without harm.
Fire damage to the structure and contents was significant. There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters.
The South County Fire Investigation Task Force is investigating.
