Construction began Monday on the M Street SE Improvements Project that requires full closure of M Street SE between 4th Street SE and East Main Street until Sept. 1.

Work involves replacing and upgrading deep storm drain pipe and sewer pipe, water main and service lines, new sidewalks and full-depth roadway re-construction and paving. During this time, signed detours will be in place as shown on the map above.

Vehicular access to residents within the work zone will be maintained. Additional notices will be provided as work progresses. The public’s patience is appreciated as the City works to complete this essential construction project.
