March 23

Theft: Overnight, 4200 block of A Street Southeast. A man reported his wallet stolen after a suspicious charge appeared on a debit card that was in the wallet. The man surmised that he might have dropped the wallet during a sleepwalking episode in the middle of the night.

March 27

Theft: 10:33 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. A senior citizen reported that some other guy stole his money clip right out of his pocket. Police did not disclose the amount of the loss.

March 28

Theft from vehicle: Overnight, 6000 block of South 300th Street. Unknown persons forced locks on a work van and stole items from said van. Among the missing items was a small, portable Honda generator. The generator had a blue field or block painted on it with a yellow “Pride Electric” stenciled in paint on the blue field. The generator also had “Pride Electric” engraved on the casing. Police did not give a value.

March 29

Burglary: 8 a.m., 5100 block of D Street Northwest. Between March 26 and March 29, suspects climbed a security fence to steal scrap copper and new 20-foot copper pipes from behind a business. Police did not disclose a value for the loss.

Robbery with firearm: 6:46 a.m., 1102 Auburn Way S. A man called to report he had been the victim of a robbery at the Auburn Library and that somebody had stolen his $2,400 tribal check.

Fraud: 9:29 a.m., 1200 block of 30th Street Southeast. Between March 3 and March 29, somebody used an Auburn resident’s credit card to buy airplane tickets in far-off Atlanta, Ga.

Theft of car parts: Overnight, 6100 block of Terrace View Lane Southeast. A man complained that someone had cut his convertible car top and taken his driver and passenger seats. No value was given for the stolen items.

Theft from vehicle: 5:30 p.m., 200 block of 21st Street Southeast. An unknown suspect smashed the side window of a car and stole the stereo and both air bags.

Strong arm robbery: 8:44 p.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. A man robbed the pharmacy at Rite Aid, 1509 Auburn Way S. Police didn’t say how much they got away with.

March 30

Shoplifting: 2:30 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Two persons wielding a shopping cart took unnamed articles of clothing still on their hangars from Burlington Coat Factory and placed said stolen items in a vehicle in their bid to escape with the goods. The store recovered all the pilfered merchandise.
