Sound Transit offers train rides to and from Seahawks games

Fans can catch a ride from Auburn Station

Sound Transit announced that football fans can ride Sound Transit’s Sounder train to watch the Seahawks play at Lumen Field starting Sept. 19.

The Sounder train will run from Lakewood to Seattle with a stop in Auburn on game days so fans can save on gas and parking.

The Sounder will leave Lakewood at 10:21 a.m. and 10:46 a.m., stopping in Auburn Station at 11:03 a.m. and 11:28 a.m. Return trains will leave the King Street Station in Seattle at 20 minutes and 45 minutes after the game ends.

This service will be available for games on Sept. 19, Oct. 31, Nov. 21, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

An online schedule of Sounder trains to Lumen field for Seahawks games can be found on Sound Transit’s website.

Regular fares will apply for train rides to and from Lumen Field. A one-way Sounder ticket from Auburn to Seattle is $4.25, according to Sound Transit.

Riders can skip the line at ticket vending machines by downloading Sound Transit’s GO Ticket app on their phone or by purchasing an Orca card, according to Sound Transit. Masks are required on all Sound Transit rides.
