Auburn Police Det. Cristian Adams volunteered his time last Saturday for a good cause – raising awareness and money for Special Olympics Washington through the Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign.

Adams and his aunt, Kathy Coty, were on hand at the Red Robin restaurant next to the SuperMall, supporting the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser, proceeds of which support Special Olympics programs in the state.

Adams plans to join fellow police officers in the traditional torch run through the streets of Auburn later this year.

“It’s tough but fun, and it’s for a good cause,” Adams said.
