New Olympic Middle School continues to take shape
Absher Construction crew members assemble the roof atop the new Olympic Middle School on a sun-splashed Tuesday afternoon, with temperatures reaching into the welcomed 50s.
The new 105,000-square-foot school, at 1825 K St. SE, will replace today’s 92,000-square-foot edifice with a two-story, red brick-faced structure wired for 21st-century technology.
The school opens in September.
Jeffrey Nelson faces charges of murder in the second degree and assault in the first degree for 2019 killing of Jesse Sarey.
Dashcam footage shows the pursuing officer deploying a PIT maneuver on the Honda Fit with his patrol vehicle.
Police: “There did not appear to be any altercation between the two prior to the incident.”
