Valley Regional Fire Authority firefighters quickly responded and extinguished a fire to an unoccupied restaurant in downtown Auburn late Saturday night.
Firefighters were dispatched to a fire in the Kouros restaurant at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday. An alert citizen noticed flames inside the restaurant and called 911. Firefighters quickly doused the flames, preventing further damage to the business.
There were no injuries to citizens or firefighters.
Initial reports suggest that the fire appears to be suspicious in nature and is being investigated by the VRFA and the Auburn Police Department.
