Participants and attendees at a number of Tax Day Tea Parties to be held Wednesday, in cities throughout Washington are asked to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the various food banks in their areas.

The event in Seattle will be held between 5:45 and 7:45 pm in Westlake Park at the Arch, 410 Pine St. Seattle Sons & Daughters of Liberty volunteers will man a voter registration station and a food donation booth throughout the event.

The organizers have planned peaceful, family oriented demonstrations to remind lawmakers that the voices of We The People are entitled to be heard and respected. The focus is on cutting government spending and holding legislators on both sides of the aisle accountable for pork projects, high taxes, earmarks and trillions of dollars of federal deficit.
