Teen hospitalized after shooting at Auburn Sounder Station

The suspected shooter, another 15-year-old male, was taken into custody shortly after the incident.

A shooting in Auburn has left one teen hospitalized and another taken into custody.

Auburn Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the Auburn Sounder Station at about 2:30 p.m. May 27, according to a press release. The victim, a 15-year-old male, suffered at least one gunshot wound and was treated at the scene before being transported to Harborview Medical Center.

The suspected shooter, another 15-year-old male, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. A second suspect was located and also taken into custody, but was found to have no connection to the shooting. As of May 29, another suspect remains outstanding.

In a first appearance hearing, the court found probable cause for assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The court found the suspect a risk to public safety and to himself and ordered he remain in custody.
