The latest Auburn police blotter

Between Jan. 16 and Jan. 28, the Auburn Police Department responded to the following calls for service, among many others.

Jan. 16

Trespassing: 9:40 p.m., 100 block of 8th Street Southeast. Police arrested multiple male types of undisclosed vintage for trespassing.

Jan. 17

Impounded vehicle: 11:39 a.m., 2000 R St. SE. An abandoned RV was impounded from Valley Regional Fire Authority Station 32’s driveway.

Jan. 24

Felonious theft from vehicle: 5:15 a.m., 400 block of 8th Street Southwest. A thief or thieves stole tools and work equipment from the locked, covered bed of a truck.

Commercial burglary: 8:36 a.m., 3320 West Valley Highway N. While burglars were burgling a business, they stole a Jeep.

Felonious harassment: 1:19 p.m., 10 block of Auburn Avenue. A felonious harasser fled from police on foot, whereupon police pursued and got the person.

Fraud: 5 p.m., 2500 block of D Street Southeast. Someone found various items of contraband property on a sidewalk.

Jan. 26

Vehicle theft: 5:30 a.m., 4700 block of Auburn Way North. A bad guy damaged three vehicles as he was trying to steal them.

Weapons offense: 3 p.m., 4000 block of D Street Southeast. Someone reported a drive-by shooting.

Jan. 27

Lost or found property: 1:33 p.m., 340 E. Main St. Someone found a gun in the back of an Uber and turned it over to Auburn Police.

Jan. 28

Misdemeanor vandalism: 4:33 p.m., 400 Interurban Trail South. At some moment between Jan. 16 and Jan. 28, a person or persons unknown defaced the Interurban Trail with gang-related graffiti.
