Two people died in a two-car collision where one car caught fire just outside the Auburn city limits at 13604 SE Auburn-Black Diamond Road at about 3:30 p.m. Aug. 13, according to King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSCO) Capt. Tim Meyer.
Meyer said KCSO deputies initially responded, followed by the primary investigators, the KCSO Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Detectives, who were still at the scene the night of Aug. 13. There are no other known injuries, Meyer said.
Meyer said as of Aug. 14, there are no additional updates as the detectives’ work continues, and no additional updates are planned.
According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, one of the deceased from the incident was Michael John Inay, 55. His cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and thermal burns. His manner of death was ruled an accident.
According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Trevon Inay, 22, was also deceased at the scene. His cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, and his manner of death was an accident.
